CUBE Nuroad | The Feeling of Speed & Sound

Overview

In collaboration with Jeremy Lorenz, we produced a cinematic spec commercial for the CUBE Nuroad gravel bike. The goal was to create a high-energy visual asset that captures the raw essence of off-road cycling. This project was driven by a passion for premium visual storytelling and the desire to push the boundaries of dynamic sports videography.

Challenge

Modern sports brands face a major hurdle: simply showing a product in a beautiful landscape is no longer enough to capture attention in today's fast-paced digital world. The challenge was to translate the physical sensation of riding a gravel bike—the speed, the dust, and the freedom—into a digital format. We needed to create a piece that wasn't just visually appealing but emotionally engaging, ensuring the viewer could almost feel the vibration of the tires on the dirt.

Solution

We approached the shoot with a focus on immersive cinematography and pacing. Utilizing an anamorphic look and aggressive, dynamic camera angles, we placed the viewer directly in the action. However, the true difference was made in post-production. We combined fast, rhythmic editing with meticulous, custom sound design. Every tire skid, crisp gear shift, and crunch of gravel was layered from scratch to build a sensory experience that amplifies the visual impact. The final assets were optimized both as a cinematic 16:9 film and as high-retention 9:16 formats for social media.

The result is a fast-paced, high-end commercial asset that effectively communicates the adventurous DNA of the CUBE Nuroad. By blending premium camera work with intense audio design, we delivered a proof-of-concept that demonstrates how emotional, cinematic storytelling can elevate a brand's visual identity and stop the scroll across all platforms.
